STEPHANIE McCANLES
Stephanie is currently Co-Executive Producer of the critically acclaimed HBO series We’re Here and Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show.
She has produced and written episodes of Strive for YouTube Originals, SEX LIFE for EPIX, Believer with Reza Aslan for CNN; the Daytime Emmy-nominated Planet Primetime for Travel Channel; and the Tom Brady, Michael Strahan produced documentary series Religion of Sports for AT&T’s AUDIENCE. She has written sewing challenges for Project Runway, and produced an international special for American Ninja Warrior.
She written and directed the Trinoculus Films original productions What Not To Say, a PSA for her non-profit RapeJoke, as well as the narrative short film Abundance.
During her time in theater she founded an itinerant theater company in Milwaukee, staged a sold-out production of Skinhead Hamlet in Chicago, and wrote plays about the afterlife under the tutelage of avant-garde American playwright Mac Wellman. After she switched her focus to documentary film and TV, she worked under Oscar-nominated director RJ Cutler on his Emmy award winning series American High, and Oscar-nominated director Morgan Spurlock on his PGA nominated series 30 Days.
She is currently directing a documentary on women and video games.
